American Farmhouse
We are excited to shortly commence construction of a new bespoke home designed for one of our clients. Modelled on American farmhouse designs, it also has Hamptons and Queenslander elements imbued into its DNA.

American Plantation Home: Canungra, QLD
Design notes: The hot design theme of the past few years is definitely Hamptons. However these owners’ inspiration came from further south, where the American Plantation home sits large. Its internal detailing will be similar to the best of the Hamptons but the external façade makes an incredible statement in the landscape.
The wrap around verandah takes advantage of the endless gorgeous views and the surrounding peaceful landscape. There is 822 m2 (88 sqs) of living under roof, with a layout and design features too match the calibre of a home like this.
This is special and a testament to the custom design and construct skills of the Garth Chapman team.
Queenslander: Samford, QLD
Design notes: In 2014 we won the QMBA award for Best Heritage Home in Brisbane. So when the parents of these owners bought the land next door we were very pleased when they commissioned Garth Chapman Queenslanders to design and construct their new home also.
This custom designed 475m2 (51 sqs) traditional Queenslander has been nestled into a hillside overlooking their own dam and mountain views to the front. The large octagonal rotunda is carpentry artistry and a centre piece for entertaining.
We are extremely proud to be delivering fine craftsmanship and detailing to two generations and value the trust of our clients to deliver this.
