Trust and Professionalism

“We have recently moved into our new home, designed and built by Garth Chapman Queenslanders. For the entire process we were living interstate. Despite the significant challenges that being remote posed to the design and build phase, the professionalism and dedication of the entire GCQ team resulted in a fantastic home that we absolutely love.

The professional design service offered by GCQ was excellent and making changes is made straightforward by their designer (Kevin Hincksman). With each change I contemplated I was always kept informed of the cost impacts, so there were never any surprises. Kevin was extremely proactive in offering suggestions and recommendations to meet our requirements within our budget.

Throughout construction I was kept well informed of progress. When decisions by me were needed I was given ample information and plenty of time. Variations were never suddenly sprung on me, they were always discussed and explained in advance. Whenever I had queries, they were responded to in a thorough and timely fashion. I was always made to feel that I was the GCQ’s team highest priority, even though I know they had several other clients that were no doubt also being made to feel the same way. It takes skill to have your clients feeling that way and it is a great demonstration of what a superb company that GCQ is.

At final inspection there were only a small number of very minor defects identified, all of which were attended to quickly and without any fuss. The minor little ones that have been identified post final inspection have also been attended to in the same no fuss manner. Speaking of final inspection, the GCQ team put on some really thoughtful touches and created a sense of ‘occasion’. It was clear that the GCQ were proud of their work and that they genuinely wanted me to feel the same way – I most certainly did!

Since moving in neighbours, and random punters walking past have frequently commented on how good the house looks. Inside and out the place is fantastic. Entrusting GCQ with designing and delivering our family home was the best decision we could have made.

I have no hesitation in strongly recommending GCQ to anyone who is after not just a house, but a high-quality home.”

Hamptons Exterior

The owner’s inspiration was our previous display home [see inset pic]. They worked closely with Kevin Hincksman, Garth Chapman’s Designer to customize the plan and look to suit their taste, style, land and budget. The result, we hope you will agree, is a truly stunning home that displays the Hampton inspiration while incorporating the accommodation requirements of the owner.

The intricate detail of the upper-level gables with wide eaves, gable vents, and brackets on the fascia board all assist in delivering a style that is a class above most. White timber joinery entry and French doors invite you from the beautifully selected tiling of the patio area.

But before the build was a knock down of the original home first. A slight improvement I hope you will agree!

Open Plan Living

As you can see the rear entertaining flows continuously to the cricket pitch greens and pool zone. What you can’t see is the large carefully designed lawn and garden area to accommodate the entire family from toddler to teen.

An enviable family lifestyle has been created on this inner-city block by a client and the professional team of specialists they engaged.

The easy living floor plan focuses the view from the kitchen, meals, and living areas toward the rear entertainment area. The large stacking doors from the living room integrate the covered external living with the with the inside. The open plan living area incorporates lounge, kitchen and dining. The spaces flow seamlessly into each other and the outdoor patio area.

Beautifully Appointed Kitchen with Walk-In Pantry

The colour palette chosen for the Kitchen cabinetry is contemporary, clean and timeless. The large walk-in pantry provides all the storage and additional bench space for a growing family or entertainer.

Bathrooms

The owners excellent design choices are carried over to the bathrooms. Unique tiles and laying patterns demonstrate how different shapes can be used to add interest and layers to a room.

The double vanity in the Ensuite was custom made to the owners’ requirements. They have used a variety of textures, shapes and colours in the tile selections to add interest to their design. The use of white walls and cabinetry promotes a clean look and enhances the tile design choices.

The Bathroom has timeless accents. The ‘floating’ wall hung vanity imbues modern design into an architecturally detailed home.

Room for the Whole Family

This home boosts a study, rumpus and bedrooms to accommodate the different needs of the family. The rooms are versatile to accommodate the changing requirements of a growing family.
